I rarely post stuff about our own restaurants….but this is a big deal –because we’ve just opened a “little sister” outpost of GOOD EARTH at Ridgedale Center in Minnetonka.
It’s called FIELD DAY, BY GOOD EARTH.

Joanne and I recently drove down to Chicago to visit her brother. We stayed downtown in Madison on our first night and stayed there again on our way back to Minneapolis; a great way to break up a drive and revisit two of our favorite restaurants in Madison: L’ETOILE and RARE STEAKHOUSE, both downtown, right on Capitol Square.
The 6th Arrondissement on Paris’s Left Bank is sometimes referred to as the “snobby 6th.” I’ve never found that to be the case. We’ve stayed in the neighborhood on several occasions and never have we been shunned….

I don’t know if it was Agatha Christie or the 1970s TV series Supertrain that did it for me, but I had always wanted to experience luxury rail travel. When I finally reached the point where I could afford it, the only question that remained was: Do we take the European route or the Asian one? Having recently visited both Venice and the train’s terminus city, Istanbul, we chose Asia.
